The Voog Residence is a thoughtful expansion of an existing single-story Montecito ranch home, carefully designed to preserve the character of the original structure while enhancing its functionality and sense of arrival. The addition is quietly integrated into the site, maintaining the structure’s parallel gesture to grade and its landscape continuum.
Interior circulation was re-evaluated to improve flow, creating a more intuitive sequence from arrival to living spaces and establishing a clearly defined front entry that strengthens the home’s identity and approach.
A new guest bedroom and an added carport further support the evolving needs of the residence, balancing everyday practicality with refined design. Together, the improvements reinforce the home’s original ranch sensibility while elevating comfort, clarity, and livability for modern use.
