Santa Barbara Villa
This Santa Barbara residential remodel reimagines an existing Upper East neighborhood home, transforming its original mid-century foundation into a bright, contemporary living environment while remaining grounded in its coastal and residential context. Originally built in 1964 and encompassing approximately 2,159 square feet with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, the home provided a strong framework for thoughtful design interventions. The remodel prioritizes openness and natural light, with a reconfigured interior that seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining, and living spaces. Clean white cabinetry, warm wood flooring, and carefully selected modern fixtures create a calm, refined palette that feels both timeless and highly livable.
Developed in close collaboration with Matic Design and Build, the project extends the living experience outdoors through new decks and landscaped areas that take full advantage of the site’s mature greenery and neighborhood setting. Exterior updates balance restraint and modernity, pairing crisp architectural forms with warm materials to support an effortless indoor–outdoor lifestyle emblematic of Santa Barbara.
